For Dough:

  • Flour (6 Watercup)
  • Dry Yeast (2 Teaspoons)
  • Half of Watercup Warm Water (For Yeast)
  • Salt (2.5 Teaspoons)
  • Warm Water (2 Watercups)


  • Liquid Oil (3 Tablespoons)
  • Onion (1 Piece)
  • Tomato Paste (1 Tablespoon)
  • Salt 
  • Blackpepper
  • Chili Pepper
  • Boiled Potato (6 Pieces)

How to Make Potato Salted Pancake? Traditional Anatolian Potato Gozleme

    1. Let's open the middle of the flour we take in large bowl in the form of a pool. Then add dry yeast and warm water to the pool we opened.
    2. Stir it gently with your hand and wait for 5 minutes for the yeast to activate.
    3. Then add salt and start kneading the dough.
    4. The dough is kneaded by adding the warm water little by little, let's get a soft dough that does not stick to the hand.
    5. Cover the dough with a cloth and ferment it until the filling is prepared.
    6. Let's take the liquid oil in the pan for the filling, add the grated onion and start roasting.
    7. Add tomato paste, salt, chili pepper and black pepper and roast for 1-2 minutes.
    8. Let's add boiled and crushed potato and mix it well.
    9.Let's turn off the stove and let our potato filling for cool.
   10. Let's collect the dough on the counter, divide it into 8 equal parts and form the meringues.
   11. Let's open each meringues as far as we can open on the floured counter.
   12. Let's put the potato filling that we have prepared in half of the dough that you open a little larger than the serving plate.
   13. Let's close it in a D shape and press the edges lightly.
   14. Turn the dough you have prepared in this way in a pan and cook both sides well.
   15. Let's spread margarine on the cooked pancake.
