Rice with Vegetables-Anatolian Vegan Vegetables Pilav
Ingredients:
- Vegan Margarin (3 Tablespoons)
- Olive Oil (1 Tablespoon)
- Rice (2 Water Cup)
- Carrot (1 Piece)
- Red Pepper (1 Piece)
- Cowpea (1 Water Cup)
- Green Pea (1/2 Water Cup)
- Salt (2 Teaspoons)
- Black Pepper (2 Teaspoons)
- Turmeric (1 Teaspoon-Optional)
- Hot Water (2,5 Water Cup)
How to Cook Rice Pilaf with Vegetables? Traditional Anatolian Vegan Pilav Recipe
- Firstly, to get to excess starch of the rice, wash it with plenty of water and drain it.
- Add margarin and liquid oil into the rice pan and heat it.
- Add the carrots, red pepper and cowpea and saute.
- Then add the strained rice and sauteing until the rice are becomes transparent.
- Add salt, black pepper, turmeric and green pea, add boiling water and mix them.
- Cover the lid of the rice pan and let it cook for 10 minutes on high heat before boiling, then on low heat until they boils.
- Turn off the heat, put a clean cloth or towel paper on the rice pan, close the lid and leave rice to brew.
