 Stuffed Black Cabbage - Anatolian Vegan Appetizer

Ingredients:

  • Black Cabbage (2 Bunch)
  • Rice (1,5 Water cup)
  • Tomato Paste (1 Tablespoon)
  • Hot Water (2,5 Water cup)
  • Parsley (1 Bunch)
  • Mint (1/4 Bunch)
  • Olive Oil (1/2 Water Cup)
  • Onion (2 Pieces)
  • Salt (2 Teaspoon)
  • Flaked Red Pepper (2 Teaspoon)

How to Cook Stuffed Black Cabbage with Olive Oil? Anatolian Delicious Vegan Appetizer Recipe

  1. Clean the black cabbage and boil for 2-3 minutes in boiling water. Then take the leaves out of hot water and shock them with cold water. 
  2. Chop the onion into cubes.
  3. Wash the rice well.
  4. Roast the onion cut in cubes with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  5. Then add the rice to the roasting onions and after lightly roasting, add tomato paste.
  6. Add the hot water and boil the rice lightly over low heat. Add salt and flaked red pepper.
  7. Add the finely chopped parsley and mint. Prepare the filling. 
  8. Put the filling in the middle of the leaves and fold them from the edges and wrap them in a roll.
  9. Arrange it in a pot and pour all the olive oil on it. Add 2 teaspoons salt as an extra and add 1 cube of sugar to complete the olive oil flavor.
  10. Add 1-1,5 glasses of cold water and cover a porcelain plate over the stuffed.
  11. After 25-30 minutes, when the leaves are soft and the rice grains are soft, turn off the heat.
