Ashura - Traditional Anatolian Vegan Dessert
Ingredients:
- Wheat (2 Watercup)
- Rice (2 Tablespoons)
- Boiled Chickpeas (2 Watercup)
- Boiled Bean (2 Watercup)
- Dried Apricot (150 Gr)
- Dried Fig (150 Gr)
- Hazelnut (1 Watercup)
- 2 Liter of water to boil the wheat
- 4 Liter of water to add
- Clove (2 Teaspoon)
- 1 Teacup of water to boil the clove
- Granulated Sugar ( 3 Watercup)
- Dash of salt
How to cook Ashura? Traditional Anatolian Vegan Dessert Noah's Ark Dessert
- First boil the beans and chickpeas.
- Wash the wheats and pour them into the pot, add boiled water on it and boil it for 10 minutes.
- After it boiled, drain the water. Do it for 1 more time.
- Then add 2 liter of water and boil it for 50 minutes.
- Chop the apricots and figs.
- Then put them in a bowl with raisin and add boiled water on it. (Wait for a while)
- Add the rice, chickpeas, beans, fig, apricots, raisin and boil them for 15 minutes.
- Put the cloves and add the water in a coffee pot and boil them for 10 minutes.
- Add some water on the wheat again.
- Finally pour the water that we drain from the cloves, hazelnuts, sugar, salt and pepper. Mix them and boil for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve it as you want.
